Lagos, Nigeria – November 19, 2024 – Centerpoint Data Services Limited (CDSL) has been granted a provisional license by the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) to conduct a multi-client seismic survey within the Anambra Basin, Nigeria. This significant milestone paves the way for CDSL to acquire, process, and interpret high-quality 2D and 3D seismic data across four designated blocks: OPLs 908, 910, 911, and 913.
The survey will cover an extensive area of 8,651.79 square kilometers, providing crucial insights into the subsurface geology of the region. This data will be invaluable for oil and gas exploration companies operating in the Anambra Basin, enabling them to de-risk exploration activities, optimize well planning, and ultimately accelerate the development of Nigeria’s hydrocarbon resources.
We are delighted to have received this provisional license from the NUPRC. This project underscores CDSL’s commitment to supporting the growth of Nigeria’s energy sector. By providing access to high-quality seismic data, we aim to unlock the full potential of the Anambra Basin and contribute to the nation’s energy security.
This provisional license is subject to the successful execution of a Geophysical Survey Project Agreement between CDSL and the NUPRC. CDSL will now proceed with the necessary preparations for the seismic survey, adhering to all regulatory requirements and industry best practices. See Award Letter
